This year Market Square has a fantastic lineup of entertainment for our monthly Saturday Evening Concert Series May-September.
All Monthly Saturday Evening Concerts will begin at 7:00 p.m. this season.
Local Spotlight: Sunday Evening On the Square: 6-9 pm
All spots for the Local Spotlight have been filled for this season. If you are intersted in performing please get your information to jyarbrough@ci.reidsville.nc.us. We will begin working on the 2012 season soon!
The next Local Spotlight performance will be August 28. The Rockingham County Arts Council will be on hand offering various workshops from 6-7pm. All workshops and concerts are free.

Saturday, August 20: National Bluegrass Artists
Blue Highway
At the 16-year mark, Blue Highway is indisputably one of the most esteemed and influential groups in contemporary bluegrass. The band's nine exceptional albums and compelling live performances give proof to the stellar reviews, Grammy nominations, and numerous awards earned by the band since it first took the stage on December 31, 1994, with the same musicians that comprise Blue Highway today. With nine highly-acclaimed albums to its credit, Blue Highway has garnered two Grammy nominations, a Dove Award, topped the Bluegrass Unlimited radio charts, and won numerous International Bluegrass Music Association awards. Refusing to coast on past glories, Blue Highway continues to push its music to new levels of accomplishment. Artfully balanced between tradition and innovation, it remains in the forefront of contemporary bluegrass music.

Arts on the Square:
Saturday September 10, 2011. 2-7pm. Calling all artists! Sign up to participate in the 3rd annual Arts on the Square. Vendor space is $25.00 per booth. Blues and jazz music will be featured, along with wine tasting provided by Reidsville Florist and MillerCoors will be offering a beer tasting. For more information contact Judy at 349-1099. Performing for Arts wil be Jazz Musician Bruce Malatratt. Singer Chy/NN, Dulcimer group Chords and Strings also all the way from Atlanta Jazz musician Dee Lucas. Don't miss this great event.

Get ready for an amazing brass band straight from New Orleans!!!
Rebirth Brass Band
Simply put, The Rebirth Brass Band is a New Orleans institution. Formed in 1983 by the now infamous Frazier brothers, the band has evolved from playing the streets of the French Quarter to playing festivals and stages all over the world. Rebirth is committed to upholding the tradition of brass bands while at the same time incorporating modern music into their show. Their signature brand of heavy funk has not only won over several generations of music lovers, it has become the soundtrack to an entire city. In the wake of the sometimes-stringent competition amongst brass bands, Rebirth is the undisputed leader of the pack, and they show no signs of slowing down.
Rebirth is known for combining traditional New Orleans brass band music, including the New Orleans tradition of second line with funk, jazz, soul and hip hop influences.

Farmer's Market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from April through October. 6:00 am- 12:00 noon. Come out and support your local farmers and artisans.
Junk in your Trunk: Will be held again October 01, 2011. Registration is required. Come out and sell your stuff.
October 29: Halloween Extravaganza: More details to follow. Performing for the kids at 11:00 will be Big Bang Boom, 12:30 Captain Jim's magic act. Bounces and more. Free admission for all kids, some games will have a charge. Call for more details 336-349-1099.
