Monday’s (June 14) Results

     It was a pitchers duel during game one of Minor League action on Monday night as the Astros edged the Grasshoppers in late inning rally. 

     Noah Jones led the Astros with two hits, including a triple, while Jordan Bryant had two doubles for the Astros.

     The Mudcats had too much in the 4th and 5th innings as they were able to pull away from the home team Reds. 

     Kyler Whicker had a double and triple in the win while Johnnie Foster had two hits, including a double in the loss.

     The Mudcats pitching combined for a “no-no” by surrendering no hits in the game but they still allowed 6 runs on multiple walks. 

     The Mudcats were led by Bryce Ore who had four hits, including a homerun.

     American Elevator opened up a close game in the top of the 3rd inning to pull away from the Smith Stokes Pirates. 

     Nelson Smith hit for a cycle in leading his team to a victory while Trevor Boone had two hits for the home team.

     The Braves’ rally fell one run short as the Rockies scored enough in the first and second inning to keep pace at the top of the standings. 

     Mason Gantt had a triple on the night for the home squad while Logan Willard had a double, the only hit for the Rockies.

     The Reds continue to make noise in an attempt to shake up the top of the league standings with a win over the Astros in the second game of the night. 

     Austin Chestnut had two hits, including a double, while Alec Abel had two doubles in the loss.

     Smith Stokes had only three hits on the night but were able to plate twelve runners to grab a victory in the first game of the night. 

     Navie McGee, Trevor Boone, and Cole Bennett had the three hits for Smith Stokes while Jordan Bryant had two hits for the losing team.

     Brandon Leonard led the Braves with two hits while Tyler Green and Jordan Bryant had the only two hits for the Hoppers.

     American Elevator pitchers tossed a one hit shut-out to create a little more space atop the standings in the Minor League division. 

     Chase Carter was the lone offensive bright spot for the Braves while Christopher Shoemaker was the ace on the night and had two hits as well.

     Smith Stokes tried to rally in the 4th inning by scoring five runs but they could not muster another run for the rest of the game. 

     The Mudcats were aided in their efforts by a homerun from Bryce Ore while Graham Doucette had three hits for Smith Stokes, including a double.

     The Rockies broke a four-to-four tie in the bottom of the sixth inning to take in important victory in the Minor League Standings.  Graham Doucette and Mark Boone each had two hits for Smith Stokes while the Rockies were led by doubles by both Logan Willard and Carter McCollum.

     In game one, the Mudcats had a huge first inning that the Astros could never recover from. 

     The Mudcats combined for 10 hits while Ryan Mccollum’s double led the two-hit Astros.

     In game one American Elevator scored four runs in the first two innings which proved to be enough for the win. 

     The Astros were held to one hit, Noah Jones, while the surging first place American Elevator team was led by Nelson Smith and Johnathon Todd who each had a double.

     Despite a good effort in game two, the Grasshoppers were unable to hold their early two run lead.

     The Mudcats lost ground on American Elevator in a race for first place in game one of the night. 

     The Reds scored three runs in the 3rd inning which proved to be enough as Bryce Ore’s homerun for the Mudcats was all the scoring the home team could muster.

     In game one of the night, the Reds used eight hits to score seven runs to spur on a key league win.

     In game one of the night, a battle between the first and third place teams in the league, neither team could decide the game in the normal six innings.  It took a run at the top of the 7th to determine the winner in this one. 

     Nelson Smith and Jacob Williamson each had two hits in the win.

     Ben Mckinney and Coby Ingle each had two in hits in defeat.

     In game one, it took Trent Brothers too long to get it going as the Mudcats scored runs in the last four innings of the game to claim the victory. 

     Bryce Ore touched all four bases with a homerun in the 5th inning for the victors while Jordan Bryant also had one for the Grasshoppers.

     In game two of the night, Ingle’s Lawn Care scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 6th to win in dramatic fashion.

     In game one, American Elevator jumped out to a nine-run lead early and held on as Smith Stokes put five runs across in the 3rd inning and a sixth run in the 5th inning before falling short of a comeback. 

     Austin Hall led American Elevator with two hits while Christian Beville’s double was not enough to help Smith Stokes out of the early hole.

     In game two of the night, the Reds put eight early runs on the board in the first and second innings.  The Astros, behind two hits from Alec Abel, Dakota Cooper, and Christian Capps, cut the lead to one by the end of the 4th inning but the Reds tacked on two insurance runs in the 5th to preserve the win. 

     Joe Blackburn paced the Reds with two hits.

     In game one of Minor League action, Ingle’s Lawn Care enjoyed a decisive victory over the Mudcats. 

     Ingle’s was led by Cody Ingle who had four hits on the day while Logan Willard and Brendan Harris each contributed two hits. 

     Bryce Ore paced the Mudcats with two hits.

     In the second game of the night in the Minor’s, Smith Stokes tallied 13 runs in the first inning to grab a lead that they would not relinquish. 

     Smith Stokes moved into a tie with the Reds as Graham Doucette had three singles on the night. 

     Justin Strader and William Moore each had a hit for the Grasshoppers.

      The Lions Club edged the Astros 7-6 in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Minor League Baseball game Friday.

     In the other Minor League game, American Elevator beat the Reds 6-3.

     The Lions Club scored seven runs in the third inning.

     Tamson Moore, Bubba Piech, Brandon Leonard, Ben Rorrer, Joe Bray, and Myles Stubblefield had hits for the winners.

     Dakota Wingate had two hits for the Astros.

     Collin Pruitt and Austin Hall had two hits each for the Yankees and Nelson Smith, Austin Paynter, Noah Connor, and Matthew Chilton had one apiece.

     Austyn Chestnut had three hits for the Reds and Joe Blackburn and Preston Robertson had one each.

Wednesday's (April 28) Results

     The Trent Brothers Grasshoppers held on for an 11-10 win over the Lions Club in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League game Wednesday at Lowes Park.

     In the other Minor League game, Ingle’s Lawn Care downed the Reds 9-4.

     Kollbe Russell had two hits to lead the Grasshoppers to their first win. William Moore also had a hit and Enoch Julian, Tyler Green, Jordan Bryant, Nick Chudasma, John Miller, and Jacob Stanfield scored runs.

     Cole Setliff had three hits for the Lions Club and Chase Carter, Ben Rorrer, and Adam Rorrer had one apiece. Brandon Leonard, Mason Gant, Noah Wilson, and Joe Bray scored runs.

Monday's (April 26) Results

     Bryce Ore’s two-run single in the sixth inning lifted the Mudcats to a 5-4 win over American Elevator in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League game Monday at Lowes Park.

     In the other Minor League game, Smith Stokes rallied for a 6-5 win over the Astros.

     Ore and Jacob Moore had two hits each for the winners while Brycen McKinney had one.

     Matthew Petty scored the winning run to finish off a four-run rally for the Pirates in the bottom of the sixth inning.

     Petty, Graham Doucette, and Navi McGhee had two hits each for the winners while Trevor Boone, Jeremiah Smith, Christian Beville, and Jamie Locklear.

     April Abel, Holden Biggs, Dakota Wingate, Ryan McCollum, and Alec Abel had one hit apiece for the Astros.

Friday's (April 23) Results

     In Reidsville Parks & Recreation Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League action Friday night, Ingle’s Lawn Care downed Smith Stokes 3-1 in extra innings and the Reds blanked the Trent Brothers Grasshoppers 10-0.

     American Elevator edged the Lions Club 8-6 in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Baseball game Wednesday at Lowes Park.

     In the other game, the Mudcats beat the Astros 11-3.

Monday's (April 19) Results

     American Elevator beat the Astros 14-3 and the Mudcats knocked off Lions Club 8-1 in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Minor League Baseball game Monday at Lowes Park.

     Christopher Shoemaker, Dylan Cochran, and Austin Hall had two hits each for American Elevator and Austin Paynter, Jonathan Todd, Nelson Smith, Collin Pruitt, Holden Joyce, and Matthew Chilton had one apiece.

     Noah Jones had two hits for the Astros and Jaden Warren had one.

Mudcats 8

Lions Club 1

     Austin Felde had two hits for the Mudcats and Brycen McKinney and Kyler Whicker had one apiece.

     Tamson Moore and Cole Setliff had hits for the Lions Club.

Friday's (April 16) Results

     In Minor League games Friday night, American Elevator beat Trent Brothers 12-2 and the Mudcats downed Smith Stokes 13-2.

     Collin Pruitt had two hits for American Elevator and Jacob Williamson, Austin Paynter, Christopher Shoemaker, Austin Hall, and Matthew Chilton had one each.

     Jake Miller and Justin Strader scored runs for the Grasshoppers.

     Brycen McKinney, Kyler Whicker, and Alex Stadler had two hits each for the Mudcats and T Rankin and Jacob Moore had one apiece.

     Trey Pickard had a hit for Smith Stokes.

Wednesday's (April 14) Results

     In Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League games held Wednesday at Lowes Park, the Reds clubbed Lions Club 19-2 and Ingle’s Lawn Care downed the Astros 9-4.

     Austyn Chestnut and Johnnie Foster had two hits each for the Reds and Preston Robertson, Coley Thomas, Titus Jones, and David Lawson had one apiece.

     Adam Rorrer, Ben Rorrer, Bubba Piech, and Tamson Moore had hits for the Lions Club.

Astros 4

     Brendon Harris, Logan Willard, Chandler Singleton, Carter McCollum, and Manny Leyva had hits for the Rockies.

     Alec Abel, Christian Capps, and T.J. Baker had hits for the Astros.

Monday's (April 12) Results

     American Elevator opened the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department’s Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League season with a 5-4 win over Ingle’s Lawn Care Monday at Lowes Park.

     In the other Minor League game, the Astros outlasted Trent Brothers 15-7.

     American Elevator scored a run in the fourth inning to pull out the win.

     Jacob Williamson, Austin Paynter, Jon Todd, Chris Shoemaker, Austin Hall, and Collin Pruitt had hits for the Yankees.

     Brenden Harris had a hit for Ingle’s.

 

Astros 15

Trent Brothers 7

     The Astros scored 11 runs in the fifth inning to beat Trent Brothers.

     Blake Penrod, Jaden Warren, Alec Abel, and T.J. Baker had two hits for the Astros and Ryan McCollum, Noah Jones, and Christian Capps had one apiece.

     William Moore had three hits for the Grasshoppers.
